Neil's artistic talents were not just confined to Corn Dolly making.   As well as being remembered for his wonderful cartoons, weather vane designs and straw workshops, his creativity was seen in many other forms.   A few examples are given below ........

When asked by a colleague,

"I'd like a water feature in the garden, do you have any ideas what I could do?"

Neil went away to think about it.

Within the day he came up with a beautiful design and even produced a water colour of the design which he called Fossbeck Falls.

Neil was a regular contributor to the News Letter of the Guild of Straw Craftsmen, and designed the cover logo which appears on all issues.

Christmas never went unnoticed, and Neil always designed and made his individual Christmas cards which were a pleasure to all who received them.
