The 'Local' Race - The Kiplingcotes

| This year17 riders and horses raced over the traditional course of 4 miles. A large crowd of some 500+ spectators gathered at the finishing post on a fine clear day, to witness the hard fought race, which was completed successfully over a difficult course by all who took part. Many new names appeared on the race card along with some familiar ones. The race was well won by newcomer Liz Stubbins from Thornton, near Pocklington, on her mount Charlie. Stephen Crawford came in second on Flossy and Catherine Bell was placed third on Boris. |
