Following Vixen 87's appeal for new premises their situation has now become critical. They can't find any alternative premises for the radio station at a price they can afford and it looks as though they will have to leave their current premises within the next few months, as their landlord is developing the building into flats. Consequently they are again appealing to property owners in the Market Weighton Area to come to their help.

Giant Bradley Day - 27th May 2007

The 12th Giant Bradley Day was held on a rather damp spring day, however the rain did not deter local folk from attending the day's celebrations.   The highlight of the day was the unveiling of a life size wooden statue of William Bradley, carved from a English oak log by Malcolm MacLachlan.

Plans to to convert part of the Londesborough Arms into flats have been rejected by the East Riding of Yorkshire council's planning committee. The plans, submitted by Bagdale Hall Hotels, involved reducing the size of the hotel down to 10 bedrooms, convert the remaining rooms into flats and also to build two cottages at the rear.

A1079 SAFETY CAMERAS TO GO LIVE

Humberside Safety Camera Partnership will be switching on 13 new fixed cameras along the A1079 from the evening of Friday, July 7. The partnership has installed seven fixed Truvelo cameras on Beverley bypass, from Killingwoldgraves roundabout, near Bishop Burton, to Dunswell roundabout. A further six are in place at Arras Hill, Market Weighton, and along the town's bypass.
