Town Council Member Resigns

Councillor Doreen Plews has resigned from Market Weighton parish council.  Her reasons for resigning are not known at this time.

Residents are urged to stand as candidates for this vacancy, for which a by-election will be necessary if more than 10 electors request this via Darryl Stephenson, chief executive of East Riding Council, before February 20th 2002.  

This is a wonderful opportunity to become involved in the local community.
