A Skate Park for the Town by March 2003 ?

Latest News on the Skate Park development.

Market Weighton's much-needed skatepark moves closer to fruition.  The initiative set up by Market Weighton Town Council and an 'Action Group' of young people and parents is developing momentum and the proposal to build a skate park on land at the town's War memorial Playing Field is taking off.
Several meetings have been held in the town involving all interested people, ably headed up by councillor David Rudd.  The necessary planning applications have been lodged with the local authorities and subject to approvals the skate park could be a reality by February or March 2003.

This excellent development will achieve one of the projects proposed by the Weighton Area Regeneration Partnership (WARP) and will be a welcome addition to the amenities for the youth of the area.
