Weighton Area Regeneration Partnership set up New Office

WARP move from Council Offices to visible presence in town centre.

After several months "hidden away" in the council offices, Dan Offord the Market Weighton Project Manager, Weighton Area Regeneration Partnership, has now moved into a more prominent location in the town.  A temporary office has now been opened in a double fronted premises (last used as a second hand shop) in Market Street, now enabling the project to be visible to the residents of the town.

This development is good for the town as it puts the whole regeneration project in public view, and should now encourage residents to find out more of the proposals for the town and surrounding villages.  So, go in and talk to Dan Offord, pick up some leaflets, find out what is happening, and if you have an opinion discuss it with him.

With the regeneration project developing over several years, other more permanent accommodation will be required and there are plans to move to another location in the spring of 2003.
