Historic Buildings in Market Weighton to be Refurbished.
As part of the Market Weighton Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme five target
buildings have now been identified.
The target properties identified are all just some of the fine buildings to be seen in the High Street and Market Place. It will be good to see these examples of 18th and 19th century buildings brought back to their former glory, and hopefully put to good use.
The properties are:
Birch's : 30 - 32 High Street
Lofts : 72 Market Place
The Tack Shop : 78 Market Place
No's 47 - 49 Market Place
Turnbulls : 66 Market Place

The photos above do show the fine character of the buildings themselves, especially the upper storeys which the casual visitor to the town, and indeed many of the local residents, will not even contemplate as they walk or drive through the town. Perhaps regeneration will encourage local folk to take a different view of their Conservation Area.
