Vixen 87, the truly LOCAL radio station, returns on Sunday November 16th!

Vixen 87, the community radio station for Market Weighton and the surrounding area is pleased to announce that after a very successful fundraising project throughout the summer months, the station will be returning to the "airwaves" for another 28 day broadcast on Sunday 16th November through to Saturday 13th December.

The station has managed to raise funding using several means such as very generous donations and grants from local and national funding organisations, and commercially from businesses taking up the offer of their new "small ads" scheme.

This time Vixen 87 are hoping to increase their coverage area further to the east of Market Weighton towards Beverley as they have secured an improved transmission site.  They hopefully will also be broadcasting "live" on the internet, of which more details can be found on their website www.vixen87.co.uk.
