Community Resource Centre

IMPORTANT MEETING FOR MARKET WEIGHTON RESIDENTS AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES

Over the last 2 years WARP has been developing plans for a major Community Resource Centre which they aim to build and run for all residents in and around the town. With the project reaching its design stage, a meeting will take place on Monday 19th January between 2-3 and be repeated at 7-9pm at the Methodist Church hall to explain where the partnership is with its plans.

The aim of the meeting will be to inform you of these developments and ask for your thoughts on the plans so far as well as your priorities for what services should be provided in the facility.

The centre will accommodate many key services that are not already present in the town, but are desperately needed. Services that residents can drop in and use on given days, as well as community offices, storage space and meeting rooms for groups to use. The facility will be state of the art and provide a venue that can be used to act as a focus for all the community.
