Market Weighton's Community Website Launched

A team of volunteers has put Market Weighton on the map after launching a website focusing solely on the town and local surroundings.
The website has been launched to serve the local community, and is packed with information on local news, events, business directories and a forum for residents to exchange views on local issues.

The Weighton Website Working Group (WWWG), was formed by the Weighton Area Regeneration Partnership (WARP), and spent many months setting up the site with help from hilldesign.  The site has been constructed so that volunteers can add to the various sections from their own PCs, without needing too much technical know-how.

The website was one of Dan Offord's last projects, as WARP co-ordinator, before he left for New Zealand and it is a fitting tribute to his outstanding enthusiasm and contribution to the town's regeneration.
