Market Weighton and District's community radio station - Vixen 87,
to return to the airwaves on Sunday 8th May 2005

Due to ever increasing popular demand, Market Weighton and District's community radio station - Vixen 87, is once again planning to return to the airwaves on Sunday 8th May for it's 5th, 28 day broadcast up until Saturday 4th June, and will coincide again with the traditional Giant Bradley Day Celebrations taking place during the week up to 29th May.

The station will include a wide range of programmes including all musical tastes, local competitions, regular news and sporting updates.  However, in order for Vixen 87 to be yet another success the station needs to try to raise enough funds to pay for the licenses and costs associated with each broadcast, therefore the members of Vixen 87 are now embarking on their latest fundraising activities which include grant applications and approaching businesses for advertising and sponsorship. As always Vixen 87 welcomes any help and ideas from both the business community and that of the public and if anyone would like to be of assistance in any way then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
