Oak Log to become Giant Bradley Statue

William Bradley, the Market Weighton Giant, to be celebrated in the town in the form of a statue carved from an oak log.

Wood sculptor Malcolm MacLachlan has begun work to transform a 10ft oak log into a statue of William Bradley, the Market Weighton Giant.   The work has been commissioned by Market Weighton Area Business Ltd., and it is hoped that the statue can be erected in a prominent position in the town in time for the Bradley Day cerebrations in May.
