Archway for Town Market

Planning permission granted for an Archway to be constructed at the entrance to the town's market site.

The entrance to the Market Weighton market site is to be transformed by the construction of an archway, the planning application recently submitted by the town council having been given full approval.

The site hosts the regular weekly Friday market, and the Local Producers' Market held on the third Saturday of each month.   On non-market days the site is used as a free car park.

The addition of the archway will brighten up what is often a dull feature and be a welcoming sight for visitors to the town.
