Vixen 87 - Back on the air in November

After having a May / June sabbatical due to the complex full time community radio application, the committee of Vixen 87, the community radio station serving Market Weighton, Pocklington, Holme upon Spalding Moor and the surrounding communities, will once again be returning to the airwaves on 87.9 FM on Sunday 11th November for its 9th 28 day broadcast up until Saturday 8th December, including coverage of the late night shopping events in Pocklington and Market Weighton in the run up to the festive period.

However, in order for Vixen 87 to be yet another success the station needs to try to raise enough funds to pay for the licenses and costs associated with each broadcast, therefore the members of Vixen 87 are now embarking on their latest fundraising activities which include grant applications and approaching businesses for advertising and sponsorship.

As always Vixen 87 welcomes any help and ideas from both the business community and that of the public and if anyone would like to be of assistance in any way then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We would also welcome new members to the organisiation to help in all ares of the station as there are many tasks that need to be completed both during the preparations and once broadcasting has commenced.
