Vixen 87 receives official confirmation from Ofcom that the organisation has been successful with their full time community radio licence application.

Today ( December 20th ) Vixen Broadcasting Ltd ( Vixen 87 ) received official confirmation from Ofcom that the organisation has been successful with their full time community radio licence application which will allow the station to broadcast continually for a 5 year period.
We expect the new station to commence broadcasting in early to mid 2009, after all new engineering work has been completed and funding secured.

The initial service will be live weekend radio, with a weekday rolling music, local information, and live hourly news. In the meantime the station plans to continue with its usual 28 day broadcast to cover the Giant Bradley Day and Christmas events.

More details will be announced in due course.
