St John's Methodist Church to get Major Refurbishment

Market Weighton's Methodist Church, St John's is set to get a £250,000 refurbishment. This will be the church's first major improvement since it was built some 140 years ago.

Work has already started and is expected to take around five months, and includes a new reception area, kitchen, toilets and new pews.   Funding for the project has been secured through grant schemes, with the church paying a percentage of the costs.   The church also continues to seek donations.

Whilst the church is closed regular worshippers are invited to attend All Saints' Church, or an alternative Methodist Church.
